Hello Sunshine!
I’m Simone, the founder and designer of UNIQ JEWELRY. As you can probably tell by now, I love the sun, beach, and ocean. That’s one of the reasons why I decided to take the leap, leave my (cold) home country Germany, and move to Florida.
While I love living here, there was one thing I kept missing and ordering from Europe: dainty, handmade jewelry. I felt like everything here was so bold, big, and shiny… I guess big diamonds are just not my best friends.
I’ve always loved jewelry that’s delicate and dainty, yet special and uniq(ue) - something I could wear from beach to bar, sunrise to sunset, ladies’ brunch to date night. You get the vibe.
While I’ve always enjoyed playing around with my jewelry, taking pieces apart, and getting creative, I started making more and more for myself so I wouldn’t have to keep ordering from Europe. Every time I wore my creations, people would ask if I sold them and where.
Starting a jewelry business, let alone launching one in the U.S., had never crossed my mind. I had just figured out how to make the U.S. my permanent home - how could I possibly figure out how to run a business here?!
But the more I created, the more I fell in love with the process… and slowly, that doubt faded. And here I am today with a jewelry brand of my own.
I hope you love it, and I hope these handmade, dainty, and uniq(ue) pieces bring you as much joy wearing them as they’ve brought me making them.
